Top 3 Foolproof Ways To Choose A Smartphone

With zillions of smartphones out there, it can be hard deciding which one is the right one for you. Today, we will discuss 3 factors that will help you make up your mind and hopefully end those sleepless nights. Let's go!

1) Price
Yup, price is the most important point on our list. Why? Because the price range of smartphones are like heaven and hell these days. So, if you are on a tight budget or just don't want to burn a hole in your wallet, choose low to mid-range phones such as Samsung's Galaxy Ace 2 or HTC's One V. Both are relatively cheap but still good on specifications. On the other hand, if you don't mind forking out the money, just choose between Samsung's S3 or Apple's iPhone (how to chose between the two can be a 1000-word review on itself).

2) Operating System (OS)

The OS can be called the soul of the phone. The main question is iOS or Android. Well, its quite simple actually. If you like to have more free apps and more customizability in terms of the theme of the phone, then Android is the one for you.

If you have other Apple devices or like to have more quality apps and don't mind paying for them, then iOS is for you. One advantage iOS have is its user-friendly interface and the great Apps Apple make themselves. For example iTunes, Garage Band (for music lovers), iMovies (for users like you and me to produce a movie - on a phone or tablet!).

For Windows, its still in its infancy. With a market share of 3.5% and its small number of apps, I suggest that you give this a pass.

3) Built of the phone

Now, another thing to consider is the screen size. Would you prefer to have a phone that you can type in one hand or a screen that could become your mini cinema? Those who prefer a small screen size -or have small hands- can go for the iPhone 4/4s. They have smaller 3.5inch screen with a good screen resolution.

Also, would you go for a mid-range phone with a slower processor or a high-end phone with a speedy processor?

In conclusion

We are spoilt of choices, and that's the problem.

To sum things up, I recommend that we stay away from Windows phone now though many improvements are on its way. For those looking for a good mid-range Android phone, we recommend Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. For Apple fans, iPhone 4s is a great choice still even though iPhone 5 has more features and a larger display. For those willing to pay a little more, the choice is between iPhone 5, Galaxy S3 or HTC One X.
