Best Apps that All University Students Should Have

Apps That All University Students Should have in their Smartphones

University students are a busy bunch of people - they need to hand in an assignment the next day, they need to be punctual for their summer job, they wanna keep up with the latest news on campus, and they want to find some entertainment when the lecturer becomes too boring.

20 years ago, this meant that you need to carry a large timetable or risk missing all your appointment - plus the only entertainment you'd have is a game of tick-tac-toe. But with the coming of mobile apps, all the stuff you need to survive the school day is right in your pocket.

So today, we will be introducing some great Apps out there. there are 3 categories of them.

1) Getting organised

2) Entertainment

3) and finally, Social networking.

So let's get started!

'Getting organised' apps (or productivity apps) are a must-have on any phone or tablet. They keep you on the ball and increase your overall efficiency. If you want to have a great organiser, a journal and an ideas sketchbook all in one app, then Awesome Note
will be a great choice.

As its name suggest, its interface and features are really great. You can slot your events, note or even pictures into different folders like 'My Ideas' , 'Shopping' and even 'Travel Journal'. There is even a handy sketchbook to sketch out your ideas or just doodle when you are bored. It also comes with a handy calendar which allows you to see your events in the month. In all, this is simply an incredible app to keep your university life organised.

Next up, we have the top Apps for keeping you entertained

For those students who love to have a casual read to keep you entertained while on the go, Pulse will be the ultimate news feed App for you. I'm sure most of you guys have heard of it, other-wise it wouldn't be rated 5/5 on the App Store. In this app, you can choose what type of news interests you, say technology or sports, and then you will be able to read hundreds of articles from various publishers. I personally use Pulse when I'm bored on the bus or just craving for a good read.

Let's say you missed your favourite movie due to your month long University exams. Fret not, there's Feng Xing Dian Ying (风行电影HD). This could be the best video streaming App on the App Store. It streams drama and movies from Hollywood, Bollywood and even korean drama series. But of course to prevent a slow loading time, a fast internet connection is favoured. Now, you can watch your favourite shows on the go, so don't let that hateful exam rob you of your entertainment!

Lastly, Social networking Apps.

This one is a no-brainer. We all know what Social networking Apps that are great in the App Store. Facebook and Twitter are always favourites. With Facebook hitting its 1 billionth user in October 2012, its no wonder it is the most widely-used social app everywhere. Moreover, the company is always making improvements on the App, either making it faster or adding new features.

So, lets wrap thing up here. With Awesome Note as your PA, Pulse and (风行电影HD) as your source of entertainment and Facebook and Twitter as your window to the world, I cant see why your days as an University student can't be exciting.
